GMAT Score and Overall Application.

Hello,

I have just taken my GMAT and got a score of 650. I have a total of 3.5yrs(current) of work experience out of which 1.5yrs was in the US for an IT solutions company. For the last 2 yrs I have been working for a leading MNC in India. I have a BS in Computer Engg from Drexel University in the US. With my current profile, and the 650 GMAT score (6 on AWA), and a good work on the application alongwith the essays, what are my chances for admission. Or is 650 too low a score that I should think of taking the GMAT again and apply in the second round.

Aditya,

You belong to the IT applicant pool from where we receive the highest number of applications, thus making the process very competitive. The average GMAT score for the IT applicant pool in the current batch is 730. I will suggest that you retake the GMAT test to add strength to your application.
