approximately 3-4 months for 2 hours per day is sufficient time for the prep.

I voted for 2 months cause I personally took the GMAT only once and scored 710 with less than two months preparation but 5 hours studies per day. I started GMAT from scratch after 4 years of non-Math practice. I finished 2 GMAT books (Math) and believe me the more you study per day, the more productive you are and assimilate things faster. It is very important to know that there are no time frame to get a good score. ONLY YOU know if you are ready to take the test, time is not the decisive factor as some people are better than others in Math/English.
