  2. pete says:

    D

not A- with the intention to sustain is not correct- with the intention of sustaining, or intended to sustain are correct.

  3. Jitendra says:

Option A is the correction answer.
Pete, the option you suggested is not amongst the given answer choices
    Option B is wordy
Option C suggests “fund intended” but actually “Alaska intended”
    Option D same as C
Option E Pronoun error “they” doesnt clearly say who

  4. swati says:

  5. Saurabh9 says:

    The answer is A.

  6. vishalsmantri says:

    A is the answer.

D cannot be the answer. Bcoz, by the sense of the sentence , it is the intention of Alaska ; as per D it is the intention of the fund.

  7. juilee says:

    it is D

  8. juilee says:

but i am still little confuse in between ”after oil reserves are exhausted” and ”after exhausting its oil reserves” …….thats what the options C and D look similar
    pls explain this…….takegmat.

  9. nithya says:

    hi,
    the correct anwer is A

  10. nishant says:

i think the answer is D

A – uses passive ‘exhaustion of its oil reserves’

C – oil reserves are exhausted (whose oil reserves…leaves ambiguity)

D addresses both problems, no passive and makes it clear that ‘its’ oil reserves.

  11. Raman says:

I would go with “D”. As far as I think the word “with” does not take a comma before it. With comma it does not make any sense.
