A co-ordinate geometry problem

In a rectangluar co-ordinate system what the square root of a trapezoid whose vertices are (2,2), (2,-3), (20,2), (20,-2)

Choices are

A. 7

B, 9

c. 10.22

d. 12.25

e. 14

Though i know what the correct answer is but i need someone to give me an explanation.

Answer is B: 9

Area of Trapezoid: 1/2 (sum of parallel Sides)* Ht.

: 1/2 (5 + 4) * 18 = 81

Square root of 81 is 9

Manisha, the term “Area” is mentioned no where in the question. I think something is missed out in the question.

manisha is right we are suppose to find the square root of the area. I am sorry i missed that out in the question
