At a certain diner, a hamburger and coleslaw cost

At a certain diner, a hamburger and coleslaw cost $3.59, and a hamburger and french fries cost $4.40. If french fries cost twice as much as coleslaw, how much do french fries cost?
(A) $0.30
(B) $0.45
(C) $0.60
(D) $0.75
(E) $0.90

Given Ans : $0.90
My ans : $1.62

I agree with 1.62

H + C = 3.59 — (1)
H + F = 4.4 — (2)
F = 2C
Thus,
H + F/2 = 3.59 —(3)

now (3) - (2) gives

F/2 = 4.4 - 3.59 = 0.81
F = 2*0.81 = 1.62

H+F=4.40——-(1)
H+C=3.59——-(2)
(1)-(2)
F-C=0.81
F-F/2=0.81
F=1.62
