Alaister Cooke’s doctor was once asked if he ever jogged. His reply was “Only when I am late attending the funeral of a patient who jogged!” Assuming the doctor’s statement is true, which one of the following is the most logical conclusion we can draw:
The doctor disapproves of people who jog.
The doctor only attends funerals when the deceased is a person who jogged.
The doctor only attends funerals when the deceased is an ex-patient of his.
The doctor never jogs unless he is attending a funeral.
The doctor is an ineffectual and dangerous one, because he disapproves of jogging.

# A
It was a sarcastic statement from the doctor
D
#D is the answer on second thought… must read as is written.
D
D
D is the right answer
D
question is quite simple, doesnt pose any challenge
c
A or D
A , because the comment of the doctor was sarcastic and obviously he diapprove jogging.
D, not sure about this . there is no gaurntee that the doctor will never jog untill & unless he is attending in funeral.
Can somebody explain what is the correct one & why he/she think so ?
A because of sarcasm
D cannot be coz the doctor never said he did jog to attend other funerals as well(as in of patients who did not jog).
No doubt its option A
The logical answer should be d…as doctor himself accept this.
As per my understanding “A” should not be an answer bcoz…doctor is not giving any views about the jogging.
i think its option A bcoz option D says “the doctor never jogs unless he is attending a funeral”. However the doctor mentions “Only when I am late attending the funeral of a patient who jogged!” This means he jogs only when he is late for the funeral & not when he is attending a funeral. So D is out
its very simple, its A
the biggest point in gmat is to keep thinks simple and dont get carried away and dont go beyond the scope of gmat in logocal thinking
there’s not stated whether the doctor disapproves or not people who jogs..conversely he says he jogs only when attending some funerals
so D is correct since it’s true that he jogs just on funerals
Ans should be D.
Again D is not exactly correct, however it is best suitable for the GMAT.
its A
it is clear from the statement that the doc diaapproves the persons who jog.
very confused 1…..takegmat….help us giving r8 ans….
Ans is D

D.
First statement points to “EVER” and then the Dr admits ONLY.
the answers definitely A caz the docs simply tryin to be sarcastic, the only meaning he wants to convey is he opposes jogging.
D is not an answer cause he accordin to option D, we understand that docs jog when he is in a hurry. dats not wot he meant…. Ne ways just a thought.
