  1. gaurav says:

    it shall be E
    until exact number of ice creams sold are not known we cannot find the chocolates sold

  2. Anurag Garg says:

    V = Vanilla, S = Straberry, C = Chocolate
    V/S = 9/2 => V = 9S/2 (Given)
    C/S = 10/7 => C = 10S/7 (as per condition 1) – Not sufficient to arrive at a definitive value of No. of Chocolate ice creams sold

    Also, with S + V + C < 120 (condition 2), alone, the answer cannot be obtained

    Thus total ice creams sold = S + V + C = 97S/14 <120 (as per condition 1 & 2)

    Since no. of ice creams sold must be a whole no. (cannot be a fraction) and 97 is a prime no., S = 14, and therefore C = 20 (Needs both conditions 1 & 2 to solve this)

    Answer: C (both conditions are required to solve this question, no. of chocolate ice creams sold = 20)
