There are any number of skilled freelancers who can develop strategy and create marketing materials with a keen eye to using proven methods, but also to developing new and innovative techniques.
A. with a keen eye to using proven methods, but also to developing new and innovative techniques.
B. with a keen eye for using proven methods, and also to developing new and innovative techniques.
C. with a keen eye not only to using proven methods, but also to developing new and innovative techniques.
D. with a keen eye to using proven methods, but to developing now and innovative techniques.
E. with a keen eye not only to using proven methods, and also to developing now and innovative techniques.

What is the answer? I’m not finding this website to be helpful and am getting the impression that it is not a reliable source for information, but more a clearing house for email addresses.
Can you convince me otherwise?

takegmat team post correct answer
Sorry Aziz,
The best answer is C.Choice C correctly develops the parallel not only… but also…….
C. with a keen eye not only to using proven methods, but also to developing new and innovative techniques.
thanks admin
to using.. in C doesnt seem correct to me.
Please guide.
C
I do not think C is correct either…”to using” is against basic grammar rules. Take GMAT team…plz clarify..
Same here. In C ‘to using’ does not seem grammatically right. I would choose option B, which looks best. Take GMAT team..Please clarify.
SARVA..B also has “to developing”./…all options seem to be wrong…TAKE GMAT TEAM please clarify…this is completely misleading
In GMAT, we have to choose the best answer not the right answer.
Hence, I think the answer is C.
C
Ans for the above q is C
C
Reasoning:
This is a most common construct among the many GMAT questions that I have seen over couple of months. “Not Only…. But also” is the trick here.. Needless to explain, there is no other ans choice using this construct.
c
its definitely C

I would still go with B…can some pls give an explanation as to why B is wrong.
In C I do not find the wordings correct..I feel “not only” has been displaced a bit
C is the correct answer . The option C makes use of construct “not only.. but also” ,which is correct on GMAT .
To me , Option B seems to be wrong .
Since “and” is used we can try separating these as :
There are any number of skilled freelancers who can develop strategy and create marketing materials with a keen eye for using proven methods
There are any number of skilled freelancers who can develop strategy and create marketing materials with a keen eye to developing new and innovative techniques
Now since “with a keen eye” is associated with both these sentences , it should have either a “for” at both places or an infintive “to”.
Option B uses both “for” and “to” which is incorrect
Option C solves this problem by using “to” at both places.
These are just my views.I may be wrong.
Take GMAT team please guide.
c is correct answer
