  1. V Pat says:

    E) thus making it possible for them to raise

  2. JR says:

    Ans: C

  3. JR says:

Parallellism between ‘…mild temperature throughout most of the country have produced a lush….. ‘

    and

have made it possible to raise

    Hence C.

  4. Maniranjan Kumar says:

    Ans should be C.

    1. Subject “Japan’s abundant rainfall and the typically mild temperature” is plural and hence ‘have’ should be there as plural verb.
    2. Verb forms for a particular subject in a sentence should be similar unless and until there is a very strong reason to use different verb forms and therefore, ‘made’ has to be used following ‘produced’.
    3. ‘raising of’ has a different meaning than ‘to raise’ and is not a correct idiom here. Also an infinitive form of verb ‘to raise’ is required in this sentence.

  5. Take GMAT says:

    yepp ..it C ..

  9. Raghu says:

-in A , there is no proper reference for “it”. Hence wrong.
    - “them” is a dangling modifier, though it generally refers tothe Japanese, it must be explicitly stated. Hence B, E eliminated.
    - in D, use of “raising” is not needed as its looks wordy, awkward.

    So, C is the answer
