    explanation:
    “the numbers of” is wrong construction.hence we can rule
    out A,B,C.
    Out of D &E
    D)the constuction sticks to oroginal and propor usage of ” the
    number of”.
    E)cant be the answer as “raised by” converts the option to
    passive form.
    Hence D
