There are 16 houses who owns Maruti, 24 house owns ambassadors, 9 house owns both maruti & ambassadors including these 16 & 24. How many house owners have maruti or ambassadors ?

The answer is 31.
Total houses with maruti = 16
Total houses with ambassadors= 24
Total houses with ambassadors & maruti = 9
Total houses with maruti only = 16-9=7
Total houses with ambassadors only = 24-9=15
So, Total houses with maruti OR ambassadors = 9+7+15=31
